A place for solitude and learning
Recently, I found myself discussing management techniques with a trusted colleague and he asked why I approached and performed management tasks in my unique way, “I didn’t realise it was unique” I replied. That started a personal introspective that has led to the creation of this blog.
I have been in management roles for almost 30 years. Over the last three decades the prevailing social attitude has changed dramatically, arguably more so than the previous three but the core essence of management remains, basically, the same. It was and is about people. The writings and teachings of Maslow, Herzberg et al are still absolutely relevant today and I hope to put into words how a journeyman applied those learnings to make managment his vocation in life.
